Michigan DE Aidan Hutchinson the only B1G player to land in Mel Kiper Jr.'s Top 5 draft board
ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. released his most recent draft board and there’s only one B1G player in the Top 5: Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson.
Hutchinson is off to an excellent start to this season, amassing 12 solo tackles, 4.5 sacks, and a forced fumble for 4-0 Michigan.
Here’s what Kiper Jr. had to say about Hutchinson:
“He looks outstanding so far. Hutchinson played only 144 defensive snaps last season before he injured his leg against Indiana and had to have surgery, and the Michigan defense cratered after he was hurt. He was outstanding as a sophomore in 2019, putting up 4.5 sacks and creating havoc in the backfield (10.5 total tackles for loss).”
Hutchinson recently told the PFF Tailgate Podcast that Michigan is “coming for everything”.
Michigan has a conference clash at Wisconsin on Oct. 2. Michigan is coming off a narrow 20-13 victory vs. Rutgers. Michigan has also defeated Western Michigan, Washington, and Northern Illinois.
Wisconsin is 1-2 this season and most recently were routed 41-13 by Notre Dame. Michigan leads the all-time series 51-17-1. Wisconsin is on a two-game winning streak in the series.
