Michigan headlines NFL Combine list with 18 players invited
Michigan has grown accustomed to visits to Indianapolis. Now, 18 players from the program are invited back to Indy for the NFL Combine.
Over the past 3 seasons, the Wolverines have won consecutive B1G titles inside Lucas Oil Stadium. Michigan’s recent string of dominance under Jim Harbaugh was punctuated by the 2023 national championship, and many of the key pieces from that program are expected at the combine.
On Tuesday, the NFL confirmed a list of 321 prospects that have been invited to the NFL Combine. The event will be held in two weeks from Feb. 26 through March 4.
Here is every Michigan player to receive an invite:
- QB J.J. McCarthy
- RB Blake Corum
- WR Cornelius Johnson
- WR Roman Wilson
- TE AJ Barner
- OL Karsen Barnhart
- OL LaDarius Henderson
- OL Trente Jones
- OL Trevor Keegan
- OL Drake Nugent
- OL Zak Zinter
- DL Jaylen Harrell
- DL Kris Jenkins
- DL Braiden McGregor
- LB Michael Barrett
- LB Junior Colson
- DB Mike Sainristil
- DB Josh Wallace
A true testament to Michigan’s dominance up front, 6 players come from the offensive line with 3 other players from the defensive line. That means half of Michigan’s total number of invites comes from the trenches where the Wolverines dominate Alabama and Washington in the Playoff to win the national championship.
Fans will also remember Jim Harbaugh proudly proclaiming Michigan’s 2023 roster would shatter Georgia’s record for players selected in a single NFL Draft. Harbaugh predicted the Wolverines could have 20 players selected in the 2024 Draft with the record currently held by Georgia with 15 players.
While every player at the NFL Combine is unlikely to get drafted, having 18 Wolverines invited shows Michigan has a very real shot at breaking that record.
