Michigan snags early commitment from in-state 6-foot-3 athlete for Class of 2022

On Monday afternoon, Alex Van Sumeren — a 6-foot-3 athlete in the Class of 2022 — made his decision on where he wants to play college football:

Van Sumeren does not currently have a rank according to 247Sports. He is from Essexville, Michigan and holds scholarship offers from Central Michigan and Kentucky.
He is the first commit for Michigan’s 2022 class.
Michigan’s entire 2020 class can be found here. It ranks No. 11 nationally and No. 2 in the Big Ten. The Early Signing Period for that class begins on Wednesday, Dec. 18.
