It is being reported that one of Michigan’s top commits from the 2020 class sustained a season-ending injury over the weekend.

Braiden McGregor is an in-state commit out of Port Huron, Michigan. According to 247 Sports, he is a SDE and is listed as a four-star recruit and the No. 2 player overall out of the state of Michigan for 2020.

Unfortunately, Brice Marich with The Michigan Insider is reporting that McGregor sustained a season-ending knee injury during his game on Friday. According to Marich, McGregor tore his MCL, PCL, and meniscus which will require surgery next week.

Hopefully, McGregor’s surgery and rehab work go smoothly. It is certainly a big blow for a young player, but he should be able to return to the field in Ann Arbor once healthy.

McGregor is the second-highest rated prospect among Michigan’s current 2020 commitments. According to 247 Sports, the only higher-rated recruit is Illinois WR A.J. Henning.
