Rod Moore speaks to ignoring 'outside distractions' as Michigan hits bye week
Rod Moore and the Michigan program hit a Week 9 bye week with an undefeated mark at 8-0. The Wolverines are riding a particularly dominant stretch of football and are making a case to be the top team in the nation.
Following that 8-0 start, Michigan is now dealing with an NCAA investigation centered around Jim Harbaugh’s program and staffer Connor Stalions. That investigation includes allegations of improper sign-stealing with the latest report indicating he purchased tickets to over 30 games of potential Michigan opponents in a 3-year span.
With everything that’s going on, Moore addressed the team and the approach to “outside distractions.” For the veteran defensive back, he says the Wolverines don’t pay attention to what’s being said and focus on what’s happening “in this building.”
That includes the goals of a national championship and winning the next game.
Rod Moore: “We really just don’t pay attention to the outside distractions. We just focus on what we have going on here in this building as a team, and what our goals are. And that’s trying to get to the national championship and win the next game.”

For now, that includes a bye week in Week 9 before resuming action vs. Purdue next weekend. At 8-0, Michigan has aced every game this season but must face Penn State, Maryland and Ohio State down the road.
