Sherrone Moore hypes up Michigan basketball crowd with flag-plant gesture
Sherrone Moore is still reveling in Michigan’s upset win over Ohio State last weekend.
Moore was shown on the JumboTron at the Crisler Center on Saturday afternoon during Michigan’s game against Iowa. In an effort to pump up the crowd, Moore began doing a flag-planting motion — a reference to Michigan players planting a flag on Ohio State’s home field at the end of last week’s game.

Of course, the flag-planting that occurred last weekend didn’t come without consequences. A fight broke out as a result, which earned hefty fines from the league office for both Michigan and Ohio State.
This win marked Michigan’s 4th consecutive win over Ohio State, but the first for Moore as head coach. The Wolverines are now entering a pivotal offseason as they look to get back on track following a disappointing 7-5 campaign in 2024.
