Sherrone Moore is settling into the head coaching position at Michigan, all while a potential ruling from the NCAA looms over the program.

A key assistant under Jim Harbaugh, Moore was officially promoted to the head coaching position after Harbaugh’s departure. Now, the Wolverines are moving forward under Moore while a decision from the NCAA on a 2023 sign-stealing investigation has yet to be announced.

On Friday, Moore made an appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show” and was asked about the investigation and a potential ruling from the NCAA. Moore admitted that the situation is still “out there” but it will not deter the program from taking things day by day. He also channeled one of Harbaugh’s well-known mantras during the discussion.

“That’s something that’s out there. We don’t know what’s going to happen with it, and we’re just going to take it day by day,” said Moore. “The president made a great statement talking about how our players won it fair and square, just like coach said… We’ll just keep trucking along and attacking every single day, and that’s what we’re going to do.

“…We’ll definitely attack every day with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind.”

On Friday, Michigan began rounding out Moore’s first staff of assistant coaches. Quarterbacks coach Kirk Campbell has been promoted to serve as Moore’s offensive coordinator and JB Brown is being promoted from a role of analyst to serve as the special teams coordinator.
