After Week 1’s disastrous loss, Jim Harbaugh is receiving plenty of criticism.
It wasn’t that — at the time — No. 14 Michigan lost to No. 12 Notre Dame — the Wolverines lost. It was the way they lost.
Earlier this week, FOX Sports’ Colin Cowherd — who has been a supporter of Harbaugh in the past — couldn’t stick up for his guy after the season opener.

Cowherd says a lot about Harbaugh in the video, but he talked about how Harbaugh finally got his great QB in Shea Patterson, and yet, they couldn’t move the ball. Part of that wasn’t on Patterson.
In his first game as a Wolverine, the Ole Miss transfer completed 20-of-30 passes for 227 yards. Part of the issue was the offensive line. As a team, Michigan had 33 carries for 58 yards. That’s not going to cut it.
“That was bad,” Cowherd said. “That leaves a mark (…) the question is, ‘is Harbaugh finished at Michigan?’ Cause they’re not going to fire him. He’s going to rattle off five straight wins until they play Wisconsin and that’s gonna be a barn-burner.”
Like Cowherd said, Michigan has a few very winnable games until it plays No. 5 Wisconsin. That’s when Harbaugh will get another chance at a big-time victory. If he can pull that one off, the critics won’t be nearly as loud.
