Contract details for new MSU AD Alan Haller released
The contract details are released for new Michigan State athletic director Alan Haller, via Detroit Free Press reporter Chris Solari.
Haller has a five-year contract, with the base salary as $800K annually, and there’s the potential for a $100K bonus, plus more potential incentives.
Alan Haller’s five-year contract has base salary of $800,000 annually and $100,000 as an annual continuity bonus, plus a number of other perks & performance bonus chances for meeting goals from winning Big Ten/national titles, academic performance, donations and other items.

Haller is replacing Bill Beekman, who transitioned to the role of Vice President for Strategic Initiatives. Haller has been with Michigan State for the last 35 years and his most recent role was deputy director.
Michigan State football coach Mel Tucker and Michigan State basketball coach Tom Izzo both offered glowing endorsements for Haller.
Michigan State football kicks off this season with a primetime road matchup at Northwestern on Sept. 3 (9 p.m. EST/ESPN).
