No. 17 Michigan State continues to produce hot offensive starts with a 21-10 lead over Western Kentucky in the first quarter. Wide receiver Jayden Reed is one of the players responsible for the Spartans’ hot start.

In just the first quarter, Reed has caught two receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown. Reed caught a 46-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Payton Thorne with three minutes and 54 seconds left in the first quarter. He also caught a previous reception for 46 yards early on.

In addition to his work as a receiver, Reed opened the scoring with a return touchdown on special teams. It’s his second return touchdown in the past two weeks.

So far this season, Reed has accumulated 16 receptions for 336 yards and four touchdowns. Reed continues to be one of the most consistent playmakers for the Spartans offense as they are currently in a battle versus Western Kentucky.
