Tom Izzo notched his record-setting victory Sunday as Michigan State took down Maryland in the regular-season finale. It gives Izzo 663 wins with the Spartans, the all-time record for a coach at a B1G program.

Following the win, Michigan State dropped a tribute video narrated by none other than Mateen Cleaves. A two-time B1G Player of the Year, Cleaves helped lead the Spartans to the 2000 National Championship alongside Izzo.

“A reporter once asked ‘Does Tom Izzo have what it takes to win at Michigan State?’ 27 years later, 23 (NCAA) Tournament appearances, 10 B1G regular-season titles, 6 B1G Tournament Championships, 8 Final Fours, a national championship, and the most overall wins at a B1G school, I think it’s safe to say he does,” explained Cleaves to open the video.
