Michigan State will be without one of its wide receivers for their game on Friday against Northwestern.
Ricky White took to Twitter and announced that due to “personal things,” he will be missing the opening-week matchup.

White has seemed to be having issues for the last few weeks as he hasn’t been seen at practice, despite being on the roster.
White flashed some serious potential last season as he had 8 receptions for 196 yards and a touchdown against rival Michigan. For the season, he finished with 10 catches for 223 yards, plus that score.
Before committing to the Spartans, White was a 3-star prospect as per 247Sports composite ranking and the No. 40 player in Georgia during the 2020 recruiting class. He was also the No. 70 receiver in the country and the No. 416 recruit in the country overall, regardless of position.
The Spartans opener against Northwestern will be on Sept. 3 at 9 p.m. ET. It’ll be televised by ESPN.
