Tom Izzo isn’t afraid of laying into his players from time to time, even if it’s on the biggest stage in college basketball. And on Thursday afternoon, we saw Izzo at his finest.

Or maybe it was his worst — that’ll be for you to decide.

Second-seeded Michigan State found itself in a tight game with No. 15 seed Bradley in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. After a turnover at a crucial part in the game by Aaron Henry, the Spartans head coach laid into the star.

As you can imagine, the brief interaction went viral.

We’ve seen Izzo pretty mad in the past, but that has to be a top 10 moment in his career, especially considering the circumstances.

Michigan State was able to make a late run and squeaked past Bradley 76-65 to advance to the next round, where it will meet B1G foe Minnesota with a trip to the Sweet 16 on the line.

Henry might want to play a little smarter in the next round if he wants to avoid Izzo’s wrath again.
