Minnesota forward and Northern State transfer Parker Fox will miss the entirety of the 2022-23 season with right knee injury, the team announced Wednesday.

Fox has not been able to catch a break since transferring up a division to play for Minnesota in 2021. He suffered a left knee injury that held him out of the entirety of last season before sustaining a separate injury in Tuesday’s practice.

“You feel for him that he was put in this position because I saw the work he put in last year,” head coach Ben Johnson said Tuesday via Star Tribune. “Every day being there for his teammates and every day doing everything to get back and get better.”

This opens things up for North Carolina transfer Dawson Garcia to pick up the slack for the Golden Gophers this season.
