Minnesota has a lot on the line as the Quick Lane Bowl approaches.

The Golden Gophers come into the matchup riding a 6-game bowl winning streak. Minnesota made it in as a 5-7 team thanks some late-game heroics from Hawaii against Colorado State in the regular season finale. The Rainbow Warriors hit a game-winning field goal to send Minnesota bowling thanks to its higher APR rank.

The last time that Bowling Green and Minnesota played each other, things didn’t end well for the Golden Gophers. The Falcons handed Minnesota a 14-10 loss in 2021 in Minneapolis. However, the Golden Gophers still went to a bowl game that season with 9 wins. Tuesday will be the 5th meeting in program history and the all-time series is currently tied 2-2.

The season didn’t go as Minnesota fans had hoped, but there’s a chance to end things on a high note with a 7th consecutive bowl game win if all goes to plan. Kickoff will be at 2 p.m. ET via ESPN/ESPN+.
