Blocked! Nebraska blocks Fordham FG, defends desperation pass from kicker
Nebraska is off to a tough start against Fordham on Saturday, but the Huskers may be turning the corner.
As Fordham was attempting a game-tying field goal in the second quarter, Nebraska’s special teams unite stepped up in a big way.
The Huskers not only blocked the field goal, but they managed to then defend against Fordham’s kicker making a desperation heave.

Nebraska’s special teams were a nightmare last week in the Huskers’ 30-22 loss to Illinois. However, coach Scott Frost said this week that his special teams unit had a much better set of practices.
On Saturday morning, ESPN’s College GameDay crew discussed ideas on how Nebraska can fix its issues moving forward.
The Huskers are hoping to build a bit of momentum before facing Oklahoma on Sept. 18 and returning to conference play later this month. Nebraska is 12-21 during Frost’s tenure.
