Chubba Purdy is off and running — literally — as Nebraska’s starting quarterback for Week 12.

Heading into the matchup against Wisconsin, Heinrich Haarberg was officially listed as questionable ahead of kickoff. Haarberg has been battling a sprained ankle sustained in last week’s game against Maryland.

In the end, Purdy got the nod for the starter over Haarberg and Jeff Sims. Purdy also delivered on the first drive of the game.

Facing a 3rd-and-3 from their own 45-yard line, Purdy dropped back to pass but was quickly flushed out of the pocket by a blitzing defender. After getting outside of the pocket, Purdy gave one look down field before tucking it and running.

Instead of heading ofr the sideline, Purdy cut back into the middle of the field and knifed through the Badger defense. At one point, 8 red jerseys could be seen in the vicinty of the QB, but he raced past all of them.

The run went for 55 yards and a huge touchdown as Nebraska begins the search for its 6th win and a bowl game:
