Former Nebraska QB Chubba Purdy has flipped his transfer commitment following a coaching change.

Originally, Purdy revealed he was transferring to play for San Joes State. However, head coach Brent Brennan has since left the program to replace Judd Fisch at Arizona following Fisch’s departure for Washington.

After that change at San Jose State, Purdy has since revealed he will commit to play for Nevada next season:

Purdy’s original transfer destination had an extra layer of interest as it would have put him in the same area as his older brother, Brock Purdy. The elder Purdy is the starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers who play their home games just outside of San Jose in Santa Clara.

Now, Chubba Purdy will head to Nevada. That move will still put him closer to his family though not quite as close as San Jose.
