Nebraska hoops guard Ahron Ulis, who transferred from Iowa to Lincoln earlier this offseason, has been charged with tampering with records in the same probe that has charged Iowa State QB Hunter Dekkers and backup Iowa kicker Aaron Blom.

This is all amid the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation’s probe into sports gambling at Iowa and Iowa State. A few other former players from UI/ISU have been named in this probe as well.

Ulis is accused of placing just under 2,000 sports wagers, with at least 1 on an Iowa sporting event while he was a Hawk. “Over 740” of the bets were placed before Ulis turned 21, according to The Gazette.

Ulis is facing potential loss of eligibility for these charges since he bet on his own school. He would have faced only losing “half his eligibility” had he simply bet on other NCAA sanctioned events.

Ulis started 27 games for the Hawkeyes last season, averaging just 6.1 points per game.
