Joel Klatt explains why Nebraska made 'right decision' keeping Scott Frost
The past couple of days have been a little crazy for fans of Nebraska football.
The team recently announced that they would be keeping head coach Scott Frost after a restructured contract on Monday.
Nebraska then followed that up by letting go of four offensive coaches in the same day.
Media members around the country gave their thoughts about the decisions made by Nebraska football, including Fox Sports’ Joel Klatt. Klatt joined “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” to discuss the contract extension.
Joel Klatt on Nebraska on @TheHerd : “Nebraska absolutely got this right in keeping Scott Frost. They are lightyears better than what they were 2-3 years ago”
“Talk to the other coaches (in the B1G). Ryan Day, he was like, ‘I haven’t been this nervous for a game in a long time'”

“They’ve played 4 teams in the CFP’s top 8 – 4,” said Klatt. “And the first 3 they lost by a total of 13 points, and they were only down 6 to Ohio State before Ohio State kicked that late field goal. Nebraska absolutely got this right in keeping Scott Frost. They are light years better than what they were 2-3 years ago.”
Klatt also revealed how some other coaches in the B1G viewed playing the Cornhuskers in 2021.
“Talked to the other coaches in the B1G,” said Klatt. “Ryan Day, he was like I haven’t been this nervous for a game in a long time.”
Did Nebraska make the right choice in keeping Frost? Only time will tell.
