Nebraska needs to get better.

On Saturday, we all saw where the Huskers were. And that was nowhere near where Ohio State is at.

So, how does a team get better? Recruiting.

On Friday afternoon, a linebacker from Pleasant Grove, Ala. announced his commitment to the Huskers:

Rodney Groce is a 3-star prospect according to 247Sports and is listed as a 6-foot-1, 230-pound linebacker. Groce has offers from Alabama, Oklahoma, Auburn and others.

Groce visited this past weekend and saw the Huskers lose handily to the Buckeyes, but said that it didn’t deter him from committing because of relationships he has formed.

“What mainly stood out about the visit for me is the coaching staff and the loyal fans that Nebraska has,” he said. “That really caught my eye.”

Groce is the 12th recruit to commit for Nebraska’s 2020 class, which now ranks No. 33 nationally and No. 9 in the Big Ten.
