Nebraska quarterback Casey Thompson took a bad sack on 3rd down in a B1G game versus Indiana. Afterward, he got an earful from offensive coordinator Mark Whipple.

Whipple was looking to teach Thompson a lesson by benching him for the following drive. That backfired on Nebraska as Chubba Purdy was sacked by Indiana defensive back Louis Moore and forced a fumble that was recovered by Indiana linebacker Myles Jackson for a Hoosiers touchdown.

Thompson came back into the game after Indiana’s defensive touchdown to lead two key scoring drives for Nebraska.

With 3:09 left in the second quarter, Thompson has completed 10-of-12 for 152 yards, 1 touchdown, and a quarterback rating of 217.2. The offense of Nebraska has outgained Indiana in total yards accounted for 186 to 148.

Nebraska is looking to get its first B1G win this 2022 season.
