Matt Rhule is reportedly adding a Texas high school coach to his staff at Nebraska. The news was reported by Matt Stepp of Texasfootball.com.

Bob Wager has spent the majority of his high school coaching career at Arlington Martin High School, where he led the team to 17 straight playoff appearances. Wager is now going to become the next TE/Assistant special teams coach in Lincoln.

Reports initially came out that Wager was being targeted by Rhule, but the latest news is that Wager is joining the Nebraska HC.

Adding high school coaches to his staff is nothing new for Rhule. The current HC at Texas Tech Joey McGuire joined Rhule’s staff at Baylor after coaching high school football in Texas.

Wager will be joining a staff with Marcus Satterfield (OC), Tony White (DC), and Donovan Raiola (OL coach) as some of the more recent additions.
