Nash Hutmacher is rated by 247Sports Composite rankings as a three-star defensive tackle in the 2020 class. Hutmacher signed to be a part of the Nebraska football team on Dec. 18, 2019.

He’ll be a Husker football player for the 2020 season. However, it’s not just the football field that allows him to showcase his talents.

He’s arguably a better wrestler.

On Saturday, Hutmacher — from Chamberlain, South Dakota, recorded a pin on the wrestling mat. That’s cool. But what’s even cooler is the fact that he now has pinned his last 50 opponents.

That’s right. Fifty.

It’s a South Dakota state record.

Hutmacher’s a great talent in two sports. There’s no denying that. And that’s why he was named the South Dakota Sportswriter Male Athlete of the Year in 2019.

Nebraska’s getting not just a good defensive tackle in its program starting 2020. It’s getting a phenomenal athlete who knows how to dominate.

“I would say the most attractive thing about him right now is the multi-sport profile,” 247Sports national analyst Charles Power chimed in. “Obviously he’s real advanced strength wise and being that good of a wrestler you know he plays with a strong base and balance. Still looking forward to seeing more video of him especially playing defense.”
