Nebraska fans will not have to wait much longer to see their beloved Huskers on the field again. Nebraska Athletic Director Trev Alberts announced that the annual Red-White Spring Game will be on April 22 in 2023.

The Huskers will be under a new direction for the first time in five years as Matt Rhule was announced to take over the program on November 26. It will be the first time Nebraska fans will see the offense under new OC Marcus Satterfield and the unique 3-3-5 defense led by DC Tony White.

Nebraska has fallen on hard times as they have not made a bowl game since the 2016 season when they played in the Music City Bowl against Tennessee.

The Huskers have had five straight losing seasons and were 4-8 overall and 3-6 B1G play in 2022. Husker faithful will pack in Memorial stadium that Saturday in April, hoping it will begin a resurgence of Nebraska football built by Rhule.
