Nebraska AD Trev Alberts provides update on status of NCAA investigation into Huskers football
Nebraska is still in the midst of an ongoing NCAA investigation. However, AD Trev Alberts updated that investigation Thursday evening, noting that it should be coming up on a conclusion.
During his regularly scheduled radio program, Alberts noted that Nebraska and the NCAA are “working on a negotiated resolution.” Alberts also hopes the Huskers are “getting close to the finish line” and will be able to put this behind them.
He went on to express pride in the football program as a whole, head coach Scott Frost and how Nebraska has cooperated with the NCAA.
On the NCAA investigation into the football program, Trev said that Nebraska is “working on a negotiated resolution.”
“I think we’re getting close to the finish line. It won’t be forever and we’ll get that behind us and we’ll move forward appropriately.”

Regarding the NCAA investigation story on Husker football prior to last season, Alberts said it’s nearing a finish line. Added he can’t say a lot, “But we’re working on a negotiated resolution.. Proud of our team, proud of Coach Frost, proud of the collaboration with the NCAA.”

It was initially reported in August that Nebraska was being investigated for violations related to improper use of analysts and consultants during practices and games. The violations predated Alberts’ arrival as AD.
