Nebraska reportedly had a player enter the transfer portal on Thursday. The news was reported on by Omaha World-Herald’s Sam McKewon.

Wilhelm Breidenbach appeared in a combined 42 games for the Huskers over the last two seasons. He averaged 3.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per outing.

Breidenbach is a native of Santa Ana, California out of Mater Dei. He was a former 4-star center from the 2021 class per the 247Sports Composite. 247Sports ranked him as the No. 16 center and No. 8 prospect from California.

The only other schools to offer Breidenbach were Cal, USC, and Vanderbilt.

Breidenbach has a lot of height coming in at 6-foot-10, 231 pounds. The team he plays for next season will that as an advantage when he is on the court.

Nebraska finished the 2022 season at 16-16, which was the first time the Huskers had not ended the year under .500 since 2018. The Huskers did not advance past the first round of the B1G Tournament after losing to Minnesota 78-75.

In other news related to Nebraska, the Huskers recently announced a neutral site matchup with Oregon State set for Nov. 18. The game will be at the Sanford Pentagon, where South Dakota State plays.
