Former Florida OL Micah Mazzccua has found his new home. Mazzccua is transferring to Matt Rhule’s Nebraska program for the 2024 season.

Mazzccua has been in college since 2020. He will close out his college career in Lincoln playing for the Huskers.

Mazzccua started in 11 of 12 games for the Gators at right guard, totaling 743 snaps. He missed UF’s win over Charlotte after being involved in a postgame scuffle against Tennessee. Mazzccua took part in Florida’s Senior Day ceremony ahead of the home finale, an early indication of his departure before the transfer portal opened for entry.

It is Mazzccua’s second time transferring. He signed with Baylor in 2020 and spent his first 3 seasons with the Bears.

Mazzccua did not play during the 2020 season, which doesn’t count against his four full seasons of eligibility. He settled into a starting role in 2022, earning high grades as a run blocker.

Mazzccua has some familiarity with Rhule, who coached at Baylor from 2017-to-2019 and was recruiting for 2020 before leaving to take the Carolina Panthers job. At Nebraska, Mazzccua joins his brother Maurice Mazzacua, a Husker running back.
