Nebraska head coach Scott Frost wanted his team to focus on minimizing mistakes and keeping opponents from capitalizing on them this season.

Well, that hasn’t gone too well so far.

It didn’t take long for the Illini to take advantage of the Huskers blunders, starting with Cam Taylor-Britt catching a punt inside of his 2-yard line, and following up the mistake with yet another and being dropped for a safety while attempting to fling the ball out of the end zone.

Then, with the Huskers appearing to be in control up 9-2, Taylor-Britt seemed to make up for the blunder intercepting a pass from Illinois backup quarterback Art Sitkowski. But linebacker Caleb Tannor was flagged for roughing Sitkowski, and the Illini took advantage and drove for a game-tying touchdown.

After his Monday meeting with the media, Frost is being blasted by both the media and fans for a quote he made regarding his handling of the game plan on Saturday — so much for minimizing mistakes.
