The USA Today Coaches Top 25 Poll was revealed Thursday morning and all of the college football diehards looked up and down the rankings to see where their favorite team landed.

It is, however, the coaches poll. It’s not the AP, which everybody lives and dies by up until the College Football Playoff Committee reveals their first poll later on in the season.

In this poll, all of the coaches vote for who they think the Top 25 teams in the country are. Scott Frost, at Nebraska, got his ballot of course. However, he didn’t put his own team in the Top 25.

Here’s what Frost said about it:

So, where did Nebraska end up? The Huskers had the most votes of the teams that didn’t make the Top 25. You can consider them No. 26 among the coaches.

One can imagine that if Frost had put his own team in the Top 25, they may have made it — and bumped out No. 25 Northwestern in the process.

Interesting psychology there, coach.
