Trev Alberts spoke about how the coaching search will go in Lincoln. The Huskers fired Scott Frost on Sunday after his loss to Georgia Southern in Week 2.

Nebraska will be using a third party to help find its next football coach, Alberts says. It will also be a national search.

Frost went 16-31 as the Huskers’ head coach. His 1-2 start was enough cause for Alberts to let him go.

Other than how Nebraska will be handling the coaching search, Alberts also revealed how the team will handle Mickey Joseph’s name in the conversation. Joseph was the WR coach before Frost got fired, and will be the interim coach for the rest of the season.

According to Alberts, Joseph will be considered for the job as well.

It looks like Alberts finally ran out of patience after the 45-42 loss to the Eagles. One thing to watch is how the team will be run with Joseph at the helm. Joseph may stick to how Frost ran things, or try to add in some different aspects.
