Morgan did not play in his first season in East Lansing and utilized the 2019 season as a redshirt year. The receiver did see the field during the 2020 season, appearing in four games for the Spartans. He caught 2 passes for 46 yards and a touchdown for the year.
Both of his catches came in Michigan State’s season finale against Penn State.
As a recruit, Morgan was a high-ranked 3-star prospect. He was listed as one of the Top 500 overall prospects in the class and was listed as the No. 56 receiver in the cycle. He held offers from 16 programs.
Michigan State finished the 2020 season with a 2-5 record in the first year under new head coach Mel Tucker.
