Blake Corum is putting together one of the best careers for a running back in Michigan history. During Saturday’s game in Ann Arbor, Corum added another impressive milestone to his tally.
Facing Indiana, Corum has 31 first-half yards (and counting) to go with an early game-tying touchdown. He has even added a 15-yard reception, but it is the rushing production that is once again notable for Corum.
During the first half, Corum officially eclipsed the 3,000-yard mark for his career. That makes Corum just the 9th player in program history to reach 3,000 rushing yards with the Wolverines.

Corum reaches 3,000 yards just one week removed from tying current RBs coach Mike Hart on the all-time touchdowns list. Corum’s latest touchdown gives him 42 for his career, tying Denard Robinson for second in all-time rushing touchdowns at Michigan.
After a season-ending injury derailed Corum’s potential Heisman Trophy campaign last season, he has been efficient with 494 yards and 10 touchdowns through the first 6 games of the season. Corum has reached 10+ touchdowns in 3 straight seasons.
