With most of the 2020 class complete, Ryan Day and the Ohio State staff is working on assembling the 2021 recruiting class. And the Buckeyes received a huge addition on Tuesday morning.
Reid Carrico, a four-star inside linebacker from Ironton, Ohio announced on Tuesday morning that he would be staying home and committed to Ohio State. He becomes the fourth player in the 2021 class to give his verbal pledge to the Buckeyes.

According to 247Sports, Carrico is ranked as the No. 126 player in the 2021 class overall and is one of the top five players from Ohio. He’s the third-best inside linebacker, as well.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound linebacker had several big-time offers, including Clemson, Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Texas and Oklahoma. In total, Carrico received 32 offers.
With Carrico’s commitment, Ohio State now has the fourth-best recruiting class nationally in 2021 and sits atop the B1G. Three of the four players committed are from the state of Ohio.
