Brian Kelly trolled by media member: ‘Maybe if you win, I’ll be on time’

Brian Kelly is entering Week 2 of his first season at LSU, and he’s coming off a lackluster season-opening loss to Florida State.
After the way that game ended, Kelly was trolled across social media. Part of that likely has to do with his wild offseason of dances with recruits and odd southern accents.
On Tuesday, Kelly stepped to the podium for his weekly press conference in Baton Rouge and had some jokes for the media presence that had gathered. He joked about a “late-arriving media crowd that must’ve enjoyed the weekend.”
One reporter shot back: “Maybe if you win, I’ll be on time.”

That reporter was identified as Leah Vann, an LSU beat writer for The Advocate in Baton Rouge. She addressed her comments – and specified her entry time to the press conference – on social media.
Vann also said she addressed Kelly privately and apologized with no hard feelings from Kelly.
Press conference was at noon, I was running from a doctor’s appointment. Got there at 11:57. Brian Kelly called me out, said jokingly I owed him $10, I said if he won maybe I’d be on time. Not my finest hour. I apologized afterward, he was super chill and said I still owe him $10 https://t.co/6zsp6k9PuL
