Ohio State suffered an upset loss Sunday afternoon, falling to Maryland by a final score of 75-60.

In the loss, the Buckeyes struggled to slow down the guard play of the Terps. Ohio State also struggled to shoot the ball while shooting 36.2% from the floor and 8-for-28 from 3-point range. EJ Liddell, Malaki Branham and Eugene Brown III combined to go 1-for-15 from 3-point range.

Unfortunately, a bigger cause for concern for Ohio State is the health of Zed Key. Key went down with 7 minutes left in the game with what appeared to be an ankle injury.

After the game, head coach Chris Holtmann discussed that injury. While Holtmann is hopeful the team gets Key back quickly, he also admitted it is that time of the year when Ohio State will have to think about postseason play as they work Key back onto the floor.

Key is third on Ohio State this season with 8.6 points per game. He is also the team’s second-leading rebounder at 5.5 per game.
