Chris Holtmann revealed that there has been a freshman for Ohio State this season who knows how to make the right decisions on the court. This was reported by Eleven Warriors’ Josh Poloha.

Bruce Thornton was a 4-star PG from the 2022 class per the 247Sports Composite. Holtmann loved Thornton’s decision making skills in the buzzer beating win over the Scarlet Knights and the season as a whole.

Thornton eventually passed the ball up the court to Tanner Holden who hit the game-winning bucket.

“Give it to our point guard, he’s our best decision-maker,” Chris Holtmann said after the game. “You wanted your most poised guy in that situation with the ball and Bruce is that for us.”

Thornton finished the Rutgers game with 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists. The freshman is already on his way it seems.

If Thornton can continue distributing the basketball this well, the Buckeyes could have a lot of success. Ohio State’s next game will be against North Carolina on Dec. 17.

Tipoff will be live from Madison Square Garden at 3 p.m. ET on CBS
