Connor Stalions and Bryce Underwood appear to be hanging out together ahead of Michigan’s matchup with Northwestern.

Stalions and Underwood have been all over the news this week after Underwood, the top prospect in 2025, flipped his commitment from LSU to Michigan. Stalions, the former Michigan assistant and central figure of the Michigan sign-stealing scandal has been coaching at Underwood’s high school, Belleville.

“Just two legends hanging out,” was the caption of the Stalions-Underwood picture by Isaiah Hole of Wolverines Wire.

After leaving Michigan last season due to the sign-stealing scandal, Stalions resurfaced as a volunteer coach for Detroit Mumford High School. Once Mumford’s season ended, it was confirmed that Stalions had joined the Belleville staff to help coach Underwood in the playoffs.

Underwood is the No. 1 prospect in the country for 2025 and originally committed to LSU. This week, Underwood flipped to Michigan, deciding to stay in-state. Stalions’ name began trending following the flip, with many crediting the disgraced former assistant with securing Underwood for the Wolverines.

Meanwhile, the Wolverines are seeking to secure bowl eligibility in Week 13. The team is taking on Northwestern, who enters the weekend with a 4-6 record. The Wolverines have not lost to the Wildcats since 2008 and have won 59 times in the all-time series.

The Wolverines will wrap up their regular season next weekend against Ohio State in The Game. The last 3 times these teams have played, the Wolverines have come out on top. The 2024 edition of The Game will kick off from Ohio Stadium next Saturday at Noon ET.
