Dwayne Haskins is preparing for the NFL Draft, but he’s been in contact with the newest Ohio State QB Justin Fields.

Fields, the Georgia transfer, is getting settled in in Columbus, and he recently spoke to the media about how he’s adjusting.

Haskins knows the pressure that Fields is about to face, but it’s nothing new coming from the pressure he faced at Georgia. However, being the starter and face of a big-time program like OSU does come with added pressure.

Haskins, while speaking with Eleven Warriors, detailed the one piece of advice he’d have for Fields.

“The biggest thing I would say for him is just to master the playbook and get to know his guys, and he’ll be fine from there,” Haskins said. “It’s one day at a time. Don’t worry about the end goal of what you want to do. Just get better every day, and it will take care of itself.”

Especially for spring ball, Haskins is right, Fields just needs to master the playbook and create a great rapport with his teammates.

Fields can become an instant leader at Ohio State, and he should be the perfect fit in Ryan Day’s offense.
