ESPN’s SP+ is predicting the final scores for the Week 5 slate of college football games, including a primetime matchup between Michigan State and Iowa in Kinnick Stadium. That matchup includes a pair of programs in the middle of unique situations.

For the Spartans, the program is reeling after a midseason suspension and the eventual firing of head coach Mel Tucker amid ugly sexual harassment allegations. While the program looks for the next head coach to move the program forward, Harlon Barnett and the players must carry the pieces as strong as possible for the rest of the season.

On the other side, Iowa is looking to recover from one of its worst offensive performances ever during a shutout loss to Penn State. Quarterback Cade McNamara also had some comments about the playcalling this week after receiving questions about the usage of Iowa’s WRs.

As for the matchup, Bill Connelly’s system is predicting a Hawkeye win but not a blowout. The SP+ predicted final score is 23-15 while Iowa enters the game as a double-digit favorite. Fans looking to get in on the action can take advantage of our special FanDuel Michigan promo code!

Saturday’s game is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with a broadcast on NBC.
