Jefferson entered his name in the transfer portal in October and has apparently found a home within the state of Michigan:
Former Spartan La’Darius Jefferson has transferred to @WMU_Football. Good get for the Broncos

Jefferson is staying in-state and heading to Western Michigan to join the Broncos. He won’t be able to play in 2020 unless he receives a waiver. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
Jefferson originally signed at Michigan State as an athlete after being a quarterback as a senior in high school. He was quickly the Spartans’ backup running back as a freshman.
Michigan State has now had eight players enter the portal since the 2019 season began.
