Former Iowa defensive back Reggie Bracy, now at Troy, has been suspended following news Thursday that he was among those who had been charged in the ongoing wagering investigation at Iowa.
“Reggie Bracy has been suspended from all team-related activity in response to allegations of his conduct while he was a student-athlete at another institution,” Troy said in a statement to ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg.
According to KCRG, the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, Bracy placed 65 mobile bets while underage. Eight of those bets were on University of Iowa sporting events while he was an athlete on Iowa’s football team. Officials say that Bracy engaged in a scheme with Arland Richard Bruce IV to disguise their identities while conducting transactions.
Bracy spent three seasons at Iowa before entering the transfer portal. He made 22 appearances for the Hawkeyes and finished with 10 tackles.
He entered the transfer portal on Dec. 5 and landed at Troy a little over a month later.
