Nebraska landed a QB via the transfer portal Friday. Now, it looks like a former SEC wide receiver is considering Nebraska as a landing spot via the portal.

According to Matt Zenitz with On3 Sports, Nebraska is a likely landing spot for ex-LSU receiver Trey Palmer to reunite with Mickey Joseph. Joseph was hired by Nebraska following the end of the regular season to join Scott Frost’s staff. The Huskers have since hired Mark Whipple as OC to lead the offense.

Palmer was originally a 4-star member of LSU’s recruiting class in 2019. He had 30 catches for 344 yards and 3 touchdowns in 2021 and has served as a return man during his career with the Tigers.

Nebraska also landed quarterback Casey Thompson from Texas via the portal on Friday. Should the Huskers add Palmer, it would be the makings of an experienced and potentially dangerous offense for Nebraska.
