Former Penn State DB Amani Oruwariye shares injury update after being carted off in practice

Former Penn State DB Amani Oruwariye says not to worry.
Oruwariye took to social media on Wednesday after he had to be carted off the field at New York Giants practice. Reports indicated Oruwariye had to be loaded onto a backboard after he went down during a kickoff drill.

Oruwariye played at Penn State from 2015-to-2018. He earned second-team All-Big Ten recognition in 2017 and followed that up with first-team All-B1G honors in 2018.
In 2019, Oruwariye was selected No. 146 overall by the Detroit Lions. Oruwariye spent his first 4 seasons with the Lions.
Oruwariye signed a 1-year, $1.2 million contract with the Giants in March. He was released from the team in August during final cuts for the 53-man roster, but re-signed to the team’s practice squad.
In his first 4 seasons, Oruwariye played in 53 games, making 36 starts. He has recorded 173 combined tackles, including 136 solo stops, with 24 passes defended, including 9 interceptions, and 2 fumble recoveries.
Last season, Oruwariye played in 14 games for the Lions, making 5 starts. He logged 44 tackles and 3 pass breakups.
