Garrett Wilson opened the 2023 season with big expectations after the New York Jets acquired Aaron Rodgers in the offseason. Unfortunately, Rodgers will be out for the season after a Week 1 injury, but Wilson is making the most of his chances playing with Zach Wilson.

After a dramatic touchdown in a come-from-behind win in the opener, Wilson and Wilson are working together to find the end zone again in Week 2. This time, the duo torched the Dallas Cowboys from a long way away to find the end zone.

The play was a little 10-yard crossing route with Garrett getting a step on his man and working behind the linebackers. Zach’s throw led the receiver perfectly, and Garrett broke one tackle before outrunning everybody.

The score went for 68 yards on his first catch of the day:

Heading into halftime, that is New York’s only touchdown and Garrett’s only catch of the game as the Jets trail the Cowboys by a score of 18-10. The former Ohio State star did leave his defenders in the dust with one pretty route late in the half, but Zach Wilson was unable to find the receiver as the pass rush closed in.
