Indiana OL commit in class of 2023 reaffirms commitment following rough stretch, coaching changes for Hoosiers

Austin Barrett has been committed to Indiana football since late July. He updated fans on how committed he is to Tom Allen on Sunday.

After a 3-0 start to the year, Indiana is now 3-3 much like B1G East opponent Rutgers. The team also announced that it would be firing its offensive line coach Darren Hiller after the loss to Michigan on Saturday.

Barrett is a 3-star OT per the 247Sports Composite. Barrett comes from the class of 2023 and attends St. Charles East High School in Saint Charles, Illinois.

Barrett confirmed that he is still very much committed to Allen on his Twitter account. Rivals’ Alec Lasley posted Barrett’s quote about it. Barrett followed up that tweet with one of his own.

“Still 100% committed. No question.”

Indiana will get a chance to rebound against Maryland on Saturday. After that, the Hoosiers face Rutgers on Oct. 22, before a tough matchup with Penn State on Nov. 5.
