Last week, Indiana got its sixth win of the season. The 38-31 victory over Nebraska made the Hoosiers bowl eligible, which, for their program, is a big deal.
It’s even more impressive that they reached that mark before the month of November, too. How did Indiana do it?
Quarterback Peyton Ramsey has certainly played his part. And he did more than just do his job against Nebraska. In that game, Ramsey went 27-of-40 for 351 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
Thanks to his play, he was named Manning Award Quarterback of the Week according to an Indiana release:
“Indiana redshirt junior Peyton Ramsey was named the week-nine Manning Award Quarterback of the Week, it was announced Thursday afternoon. He earns the win in the closest vote this season, beating out Kansas State’s Skylar Thompson and six other Manning Award Stars of the Week in the Allstate Sugar Bowl’s Facebook contest. This is his first time winning the award.”
