Indiana University Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Fred Glass announced today that the football team will join the University of Virginia’s “HoosTogether campaign” when it heads to Scott Stadium for a matchup with the Cavaliers this weekend. The campaign recognizes the victims of Charlottesville and stickers will be worn in support of love, diversity, and inclusion.

“Indiana University and our football program are proud to stand up in support of the city of Charlottesville and our friends at the University of Virginia,” Glass said. “Our players, our coaches, and our university respect and support the University of Virginia’s efforts to bring people together after the horrible events in Charlottesville this summer.”

The players will wear a HoosTogerther sticker on their helmets on Saturday to show their support for Charlottesville, the state of Virginia athletic programs and university. The University of Virginia will be incorporating the #HoosTogether into all of its uniforms for the 2017-2018 academic year.
