Michigan has started the season 2-0 without the assistance of one of its best offensive linemen and top receiver on the field. That could be changing for the Wolverines this week as they take a trip to Madison to play No. 13 Wisconsin.
According to Angelique Chengelis of The Detroit News, starting left tackle Jon Runyan is expected to play in Saturday’s game against the Badgers. The All-B1G lineman missed the first two games against Middle Tennessee and Army. He is arguably the best lineman on Michigan’s loaded offensive front.
The Wolverines have also been without Donovan Peoples-Jones through two games, but his return to the field is still in question. The receiver was in a walking boot earlier this year but was spotted on the sideline without it in the Army game.

Quarterback Shea Patterson was asked if Peoples-Jones will be suited up for Saturday’s B1G opener, to which he responded with “I’m not sure.” He did say the receiver is getting better each day and is practicing.
Both Michigan and Wisconsin are 2-0 entering Saturday’s game. It will be the first B1G contest of the season for both teams, as well. This will mark the fourth meeting between Jim Harbaugh and Paul Chryst, with Harbaugh owning a 2-1 advantage.
