Iowa unveils gold uniform for Black & Gold Spirit Game vs Penn State

Iowa is pulling out all the stops for Saturday’s visit from Penn State!

The No. 10 Nittany Lions will be no easy task, but the Hawkeyes are putting on quite a show for the game. There are a number of unique activities set for Saturday night in Kinnick Stadium, including a special alternate uniform.

Along with the uniforms, it will be Iowa’s Black & Gold Spirit Game along with a special salute to Iowa farmers. Additionally, the Hawkeyes brought back former QB Ricky Stanzi, who went 3-0 against Penn State, to serve as honorary captain for the game.

Hopefully, the vibe around Kinnick will pump up the Hawkeyes and make life difficult for James Franklin and Penn State. Either way, these all-gold alternate uniforms are down-right gorgeous and will look fantastic under the lights.
